It hits the doorstep, and it's time to unbox! Alongside the fresh DaVinci IQ device is an array of useful accessories. Use this lineup to mix up your routine, connect fun attachments, keep the IQ clean, and more:
The palm-sized device measures 3.54" tall. Its subtle design doesn't draw any extra attention, and is sophisticated enough to show off if it does. DaVinci IQ's body feels sturdy in your hand with a durable metal exterior. Even with this solid construction, the IQ is a portable 5 ounces in weight. The exterior does get relatively warm with continued use, making the stem mouthpiece a great option for long periods of use. Thick, dense clouds! This device makes milky vapor with just a gentle draw. The ceramic chamber keeps the flavor rich, robust, and pure. It never feels like you're nearing combustion which is the case with many dry herb vapes -- just crisp, clean vaporization.Size & Feel:

One of the greatest DaVinci IQ features is the ability to vape while charging. It's even easy to charge on the go with a useful and durable USB charging cord. The good times never have to end! DaVinci provides an 18650 Removable, Rechargeable, Lithium Ion Battery. These are also very easy to find in-store for a quick replacement. You may want to grab an extra to keep one charging at all times. It's also helpful to have a back-up with you for days out on the town. Or simply power it up with the charger. The IQ is prepared to perfectly complement long bike rides, vacations, and other excellent adventures. Some users struggle with the metal latch that lets you into the battery chamber. This is almost always a matter of tugging at the wrong angle. Display & Controls:
The battery signals a unique 51-light (17x3) LED display on the front of the device. Clear, bright temperatures and images shine -- though the DaVinci IQ easily switchs to low-light in Stealth Mode. Three buttons line the vape's side: Control Button and Up/Down Buttons. Use these to jump between Smart Path, Precision, Boost, Standby, and Stealth modes as you please. They can also make the switch to Celcuis from Farenheit. Smart Path and Precision Mode are used for fine tuning. Boost Mode acts as an express train to the highest temperature. Smart Path Mode shows up to four bars of heat itensity. The device vibrates once it reaches its desired temperature or when it is turned on or off.
A game-changing DaVinci IQ feature. The Flower Chamber is small and bullet-shaped with a removable cap. It is located next to the battery. This impressive feature enhances the flavor palette by infusing pleasant-tasting herbs with the vapor flow. Because the cap can be difficult to remove, the vape makers have provided a small metal keychain tool to pop it off. The vaporizer tool is stored in a sleek position just under the mouthpiece. It has a bend at one end and a point at the other right. Use the flat bend side to open the Flavor Chamber and the residue-coated treasures therein. To produce the best-tasting portable vapor, the DaVinci IQ is engineered with an entirely ceramic vapor path. "The Pearl," Herb Chamber, Flavor Chamber, and Mouthpieces are all lined with pure ceramic zirconia -- a material frequently used for dental crowns. This sweet spot is central to the even heating of fresh flower. The adjustable ceramic Pearl is located on the bottom door. While the DaVinci IQ is a conduction vaporizer to evenly distribute heat and to act as a spacer. This packs the ground flower so it's easier to vaporize. DaVinci IQ Software:
Interaction on some vapes start and end with just one button. The DaVinci IQ creators channeled their namesake and gave their product software. This gives rise to the IQ's popular Boost Mode, Precision Mode and Smart Path Mode. Boost Mode: swiftly brings the temperature to the highest level by holding down the Control Button. It's most useful when you're in a hurry or trying to really crisp it. Precision Mode: useful for experimenting with temperature to produce the most potency and the best taste. You can use precision control even while in other modes. Smart Path Mode: starts at a base temperature, which slowly increases 20 degrees by default over a period of ten minutes. This method is a useful way to get more mileage. Temperature ranges can be customized via smartphone app.
Smartphone App:
Available on iOS and Android, the bluetooth app lets you enter Standby Mode to cool down, enable Stealth Mode to lower LED intensity, turn off haptic vibration alerts, and edit Smart Path settings. When using Smart Path with the app, your phone screen shows the actual (white line) and target (orange line) temperatures in a nifty graph. Watch the white line spike as the device increases in temperature to meet the orange line. Click the large Plus and Minus Buttons to precisely adjust the temp, and a clearly visible Standby button to cool down if you need a break. This review was written with an iPhone X.There were no issues whatsoever! Multiple iTunes and Google Play reviews complain the app can cause the unit to overheat or refuse to turn on. As we learned with our PAX 3 Review, always set the bluetooth app up completely before trying to use the device. This will minimize the risk of problems.
Mouthpieces & Nectar Connector
DaVinci IQ includes one flat and one stemmed mouthpiece. Both feature rubber gaskets that snugly attach to the top of the unit. While the flat mouthpiece does what one expects with its famous kiss-like inhale, it can get warm as the device heats up. This is a common side effect when it comes weilding hundreds of degrees in the palm of your hand -- we have it with most portable dry herb vapes. The stemmed mouthpiece was much easier to use than the flat piece. A bonus is that the stem attachment easily mates with a 10mm water pipe and can be adapted onto other sizes.
Maintenance:
A nice feature of the DaVinci IQ is the relative ease of cleaning. Most components are small enough that they can be cleaned by soaking in isopropyl alcohol or wiping with the included swabs. The only thing that can’t be cleaned is the battery, but due to how the device is designed it will never come into conflict with flower or vaporized material. As the battery is a Li-Ion battery that will lose power over time, it can be easily swapped out with another 18650 battery.
The Cons:
The battery system used by the DaVinci IQ makes it extremely portable, letting you enjoy clean, smooth vapor just about anywhere. Hiking, road trips, concerts, and theaters are enhanced by this sidekick. Yet it's convenient enough that you find yourself reaching for it even at home listening to chill, relaxing music. Stealth mode is an excellent addition for pre-show puffs and going home for the holidays.

Overall: DaVinci IQ Lives Up to its Reputation
This is a wonderful portable vaporizer with a unique design that makes it stand out from the rest. The replaceable battery, the ability to use it while charging and the app are killer features that most vaporizer companies wish they could boast about. Though it can get warm at times, adjusting vapor intake can make a big difference. The Flavor Chamber is not seen in most other vaporizers, while the Smart Path mode is entirely unique. Overall, this is an ambitious vaporizer that delivers on the majority of features that are promised.
